International Tennis Magazine - Andy Murray

Sir Andrew Murray. It has a nice ring to it. If David Cameron gets his way, this year's Wimbledon champion will be up for a knighthood. And given the enormity of his achievement; given the fact he is the first male Briton in 77 years to take the singles title, it would be churlish to deny him such an honour. After all, he has won arguably the most elusive prize in British sport.

Regardless of whether Murray soon feels Her Majesty’s sword on his shoulders, one thing is for sure: being Wimbledon champion is sure to change this 26-year-old Scot in ways he can’t possibly imagine.
