Mohamed Elshorbagy & Nour El Sherbini Crowned British Open Champions

Defending men’s champion Mohamed Elshorbagy and Nour El Sherbini recorded an historic Egyptian double at the 2016 Allam British Open with contrasting victories over compatriots over Ramy Ashour and Nouran Gohar respectively at the Airco Arena in Hull. The championships were noteworthy for being the first time in the tournament's 93-year history that Egypt had provided all four finalists and for El Sherbini becoming the first female Egyptian to lift the coveted title.
